Soft blues, pinks and purples reign in this garden tucked into the rolling countryside.

Two terraces of warm sandstone are linked by a mixed productive and flower garden paved with setts and neatly bordered by low box hedging. The box allows the pretty English planting to billow without looking overblown. Key plants in this scheme include Aquilegia, Iris, Salvia, Stachys and Euphorbia, interplanted with pretty edibles; fennel, rosemary and chives.

The planting was all done in the past 18 months… which shows how rapidly a garden can mature into a beautiful space for family and friends to enjoy.
